Volunteer with Cherryland/Hired 10/1/75. A year later consolidated with Ashland/San Lorenzo-Eden FD 4 years. Hired by San Leandro 9/16/80 after I sold my soul to Hamilton and begged him for a job. Worked at all the stations and in 1987 became Captain. Later became medic and finally made it to the “FERG House” Station 9, with my last days spent there (6 years). Now I get to sleep all night, which is pretty sweet. Debra and I travel quite a bit which we both like. This August I will be in Italy/France touring on my bicycle rooting for Lance at the Tour De France.
